You can always count on Somarta when it comes to being amazing. Once again, Tamae Horikawa didn’t fail in giving me goosebumps with her Geodo collection for AW 2012-13. This time, the collection was very strong in a feminine way because of the choice of colors- skin tones, shades of whites and bloody red. Also, the playing of textures contributed to its strength, varying from rose petal surfaces, crystal beads to skeleton-like knit works. There were slight appearances of winter essentials like fur and down but it was great to see that she didn’t only produce the common down jackets and vest but also a poncho and knee-high leg warmers which seem to look like boots in the runway. It was also great to see the models walking in this fabulous collection on their Noritaka Tatehana collaboration heelless shoes covered entirely with Somarta’s signature skin series stockings. And oh! Somarta’s accessories are always for the kill!!!!
