This afternoon, I decided to have a walk in Shinjuku and Shibuya today with my friends, Carey and Rexcy. Since Spring is almost here, I wore denim all the way and a slash of color.
Vintage hat, Pashmina scarf, unnamed denim jacket, shirt and glasses, Levi’s Strauss jeans, Iida shoes and Gianni Versace handbag courtesy of Carey. She also took this photo through her IPhone.
The afternoon sun was shining brightly in the blue skies today as if nothing happened last Friday. There was no trace of the dreadful Sendai earthquake except for the small cracks on the ground in the sidewalks of Shinjuku and Shibuya. Most of the establishments in downtown Tokyo were open, signaling that life goes on for the global metropolis. The trains which were really messed up last Friday and Saturday were all back to normal with a few delays.
Just like the city, I realized I had to do something about all the worrying and paranoia that the earthquake gave me. I went out with my friends, had dinner and coffee and window shopped for bags. I did what I usually do during the weekends and it made me forget about that very awful Friday afternoon. I had so much fun that I didn’t notice the earth shook again. I just learned about it when I got home and my mom told me about the after shock.
To all my friends in the Philippines and all around the globe, this is a video that I made with my friends, saying thank you to all the love, support and concern you’ve shown during these desperate times.
Thank you guys! For sure, Japan shall rise again from these dark times. ガンバレ，日本！！！!
