Yes! We are in the middle of a very cold season now but we cannot deny that we are almost getting there to that time of the year when there is much more color, vibrancy, and sunshine. Yeah! I’m talking about the season of hues, florals and fluttering butterflies- SPRING.
And when there is color, there is British designer Matthew Williamson. Known for his exuberant colors in his design, he was appointed creative director of the luxurious Emilio Pucci label from 2005 to 2009. Last March 2010, it was reported that he was asked by Italian jeweler and luxurious goods retailer, Bulgari, to design a collection of handbags for their SS 2011 collection.
Voila! Just look at these wonderful handbags that Matthew designed for Bvlgari. I love the kaleidoscope inspired designs of these handbags. They maybe a bit vibrant but they sure are very chic and classy. We cannot deny that it also has this exotic and sophisticated Persian vibe.
And for those ladies who want to make it more discreet, Matthew also designed these geometrically shaped bags with solid monochromatic colors. It may not be as flamboyant as the handbags above but they are equally elegant and stylish.
I just wanna say that I like the geometric figures of these designs. They seem to honor the fact that Bulgari is originally a jeweler and these shapes appears to be precious stones and gems that jewelers use.
Matthew Williamson really knows how to play with colors. Good job with this exquisite collection!
